Competitiveness Rankings: UK drops out of top 10

The World Economic Forum has published its annual report on global competitiveness.


The USA retains its top spot but the UK has dropped out of the top 10 and is now ranked 12th most competitive country in the world - a fall of three places from last year.

The report says: "The United Kingdom, while remaining very competitive, has dropped by three places and out of the top 10, mainly attributable to a weakening of its financial markets."
Look on the bright side, at least we're still ahead of France who are ranked 16th...
