Will the Lib Dems be bothered they've been found guilty of breaching privacy laws?

This is all about the 250,000 households who were supposed to receive calls with a recorded message from Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg.
Iain Dale has blogged that following a complaint from the SNP, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) said the Lib Dems had broken privacy rules.

The SNP will trumpet their tit-for-tat success (the Lib Dems had complained to the ICO about the SNP using similar marketing tactics in 2005).

However, will Clegg really be bothered? The Lib Dems have already made the calls (popular in US campaigns) so therefore will have achieved their objective of reaching out to people following their relatively successful party conference.

Now they are threatened with prosecution unless they stop. So what? They've already done it! The ICO will have the Lib Dems quaking in their boots!
